About this Organisation:

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour has overarching responsibility for framework development and planning, curriculum reviews and improvements. It governs vocational education and training and adult training and aims to improve the relationship between vocational education and training and employment policy.

Ms Lux is a senior counsellor in charge of vocational education and training (VET) in the Department of Adult and Vocational Education of the Hungarian Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour (from 1998 to 2006 she was working in the Ministry of Education and from 1994 to 1998 in the Ministry of Labour). She is responsible for following EU policies and bilateral relations with third countries in relation to VET. She was national coordinator of the OECD-VET project “Learning for Jobs”. Since 2003 she has been member of the EU ECVET Working Group, and since 2007 a delegated member of the EU Advisory Committee on Vocational Training (ACVT). She has also been participating in the CEI (Central European Initiatives) HRD Network. She holds a Master’s degree in economic sciences from Karl Marx University of Economics, Budapest.
