About this Organisation:
Qualification and Vocational Education and Training Development Centre aims to ensure that the developments of the Lithuanian VET system correspond to the needs of the economy as well as meeting national and international requirements.
Objectives:

to enhance links between VET and the economy;

to increase VET attractiveness;

to improve VET quality;
-
to strengthen the cooperation among VET actors.
Core Activities:

development of methodologies in certain VET areas;

development of VET standards;

applied research in VET including specialist demand forecasts;

compilation, analysis and

dissemination of VET information;

assessment of VET quality;

methodological and expertise contribution to the development of training / learning material;

involvement in national and international projects.

Ms Beleckiene is the director of Qualifications and VET Development Centre. The core activities of the Centre are: development of methodologies in certain VET areas; development of VET standards; applied research in VET, including specialists demand forecasts; compilation, analysis and dissemination of VET information; assessment of VET quality. Ms Beleckiene has worked with analysis and research in VET for over 10 years, in particular with regard to themes of VET quality and effectiveness, correspondence of VET to labour market needs and training needs analysis in certain economy sectors. She is one of the authors of the Concept of VET Quality Assurance System in Lithuania. She is also the coordinator of the network ReferNet Lithuania.
