About this Organisation:

In the area of employment and vocational training, the Directorate General for Employment and Industrial Relations is responsible for:
1. Preparing policy measures, legislation, including the transposition of European directives and regulations related with employment and vocational training;
2. Participating in the definition of development strategies for employment and qualification at national and EU contexts;
3. Evaluating the programmes and policy measures of employment and vocational training;
4. Preparing and supporting the national technical intervention in the adoption of EU and international normative instruments, as well as in the processes of the European Court of Justice;
5. National Authority for VET providers’ Accreditation System;
6. Representing the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity in the Directors General for Vocational Training Group;
7. Representing the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity in EQAVET in the quality of Quality Assurance National Reference Point;
8. Representing the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity in ECVET Network;
9. Representing the Portuguese Government in the Governing Board of Cedefop;
10. Representing the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity in ReferNet (European Network for VET);
11. Representing the Portuguese Government in ACVT (Advisory Committee for Vocational Training);
12. Representing the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity in supervision and auditing of the National Agency for LLP;
13. Representing the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity in LLP Committee;
14. Representing the Portuguese Government in International Labour Organisation:
15. Elaborating reports and answers to questionnaires related, namely, to the preparation or application of european and international normative instruments;
16. Collecting and analysing the information on measures of employment and vocational training policy and to participate in national and European networks, namely, the databases of market policies;
17. Coordinating the Portuguese Labour Market Policies Database;
18. Member of the Working Group of National Statistics in Education and Training.

Representative in ReferNet Project and member of its Core Group (CEDEFOP).
Co-representative of the National Authorities responsible for the National Agency for Lifelong Learning Programme.
Before this she was Senior Inspector in the Institute for the Management of European Social Fund. Head of Department in the Foundation of Science and Technology.
Expert in European Structural Funds in the Public Prossecution Service, Attorney General’s Office.
Deputy General-Director of the Public Library National Network and Book and Reading Promotion Programmes.
Legal Advisor in the Offices of the Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Science and Minister of Planning.
Five years degree in Law from University of Lisbon and two years of specialization as a lawyer.
