Jennifer Mullis works for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (part of the UK Central Government). She has policy responsibility for Improving the Quality of the Further Education Sector (including vocational education and training). This covers the spectrum of policies from intervention in poorly performing provision to rewards for excellence. In previous roles she was responsible for Apprenticeship Policy; sponsorship of the Qualifications Curriculum Authority (QCA); the development of the Connexions Service and approaches to young people not in education, employment and training.
