Experts
The Secretariat works with a team of high level policymaking and quality assurance experts at European level. These experts combine a broad range of skills and experience which is internationally recognised in key areas such as quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, development of national awards and standards, EU VET policy development, programme management, policy reform, policy implementation and institutional cooperation at European and Member State levels.
The experts have extensive experience of working at EU policy levels, particularly within the EU Education and Training 2010 Work Programme, the Copenhagen Process and the Lifelong Learning Programme contexts in providing expert advice, policy development at a senior level and in evaluation and monitoring.
A considerable number of these experts have also supported the process of work in thematic groups, peer learning activities, studies and other activities of the previous ENQA-VET Network. They have significant experience in managing the interface between quality assurance at EU level and the national implementation level.
These experts are:
Keith Brumfitt
With expertise in the development of standards at sectoral level, the design of national quality assurance procedures and EU policy analysis in context of Education and Training 2010.
Kim Faurschou
With expertise in the development of quality assurance systems, supporting collaborative work between the worlds of enterprise and education and training and the evaluation of policy implementation and supporting of reform processes.
Maria Emilia Galvão
With expertise in policy evaluation and implementation at Member States and EU levels, the use of indicators to measure policy implementation and policy issues arising from Member State implementation of EU initiatives and policies in VET.
Franz Gramlinger
With expertise in the links between labour-market and education and training, the development of national quality assurance approaches, setting up of quality assurance national reference points and Lifelong Learning knowledge systems.
Serban Iosifescu
With expertise in the development of standards and instruments for institutional evaluation and quality assurance in pre-university education and training, quality management and training of trainers in VET systems and development of qualification systems at sectoral level.
Barbara Kelly
With expertise in the development and implementation of quality assurance approaches in VET, the validation and monitoring of quality assurance and policy reform processes at member State and EU levels.
Elizabeth Watters
With expertise in policy analysis at EU and Member State levels, monitoring and evaluation of programme management and policy implementation and supporting innovation and capacity building in VET.
