Introduction

Developing a quality assurance approach is complex and takes time. The four stages of the quality assurance cycle are interrelated and need to be addressed together. However for those VET providers looking at the Evaluation Stage they need to consider:

  • there are many examples from other Member States that have already addressed these issues
  • evaluation needs to be considered at an early stage – ideally during the planning activity
  • how to collect data in a systematic and predictable in order to provide clear outcomes for all stakeholders
  • how to use the indicative descriptors to guage the effectiveness of your current practice and identify what more can be achieved
