Introduction
The 2009 Recommendation on the establishment of a European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for VET recommends that the four stages of the quality cycle, the indicative descriptors and the indicators are used to improve further and develop VET systems. Member States are invited to devise an approach aimed at improving quality assurance systems at a national level no later than 18 June 2011.
This includes establishing a Quality Assurance National Reference Point which should:
- provide active support for the implementation of EQAVET Framework
- take steps to develop further the quality assurance system in a national context
- support self evaluation
- disseminate information to stakeholders
