Policy brief on Using the EQAVET indicators to accredit VET providers - Tallinn  2017

The EQAVET Secretariat, in collaboration with the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research and the Quality Agency for Higher and Vocational Education organised a peer learning activity (PLA) on discussing the usage of the EQAVET indicators for the purpose of accreditation of VET providers.The PLA enabled participants to: share information on how the indicators in the EQAVET Recommendation are used (or could be used) at the national and provider level in relation to approval, external evaluation or accreditation; and identify what lessons can be learnt from other countries’ experiences.

EQAVET Policy note on Supporting training providers to identify and implement actions for improvement in line with EQAVET - Lisbon 2017

This policy note is based on peer learning activity (PLA) on the theme of . It place in Lisbon, Portugal, on 29-30 March 2017.
PLA on the theme of EQAVET indicator number 5 'Placement rate in VET programmes' took place in Cardiff, Wales, on 29-30 September 2016.The EQAVET Secretariat, in partnership with the National Agency for Qualification and Vocational Education and Training (ANQEP) in Portugal organised a peer learning activity (PLA) for participants interested in discussing the different ways to support training providers to identify areas for improvement and to implement QA approaches in line with the EQAVET. The discussion focused on the review phase of the quality cycle and the role of feedback loops in order to improve provision.

Policy brief on EQAVET indicator number 5: Placement rate in VET programmes - Cardiff 2016

This policy note is based on the EQAVET peer learning activity (PLA) organsied by EQAVET in partnership with the CollegesWales  (EQAVET National Reference Point in Wales) on 29-30 September 2016. The PLA focused on the use and implementation of EQAVET indicator 5 “ Placement rate in VET programmes” which related to: i) destination of VET learners after completion of training , according to the type of programme and the individual criteria; and ii) share of employed learners after completion of training, according to the type of programme and the individual criteria

This policy note is based on the peer learning activity (PLA) held in Warsaw on 14 - 15 April 2016 . The PLA which is part of the EQAVET 2016-17 work programme brought together colleagues from European stakeholder organisations, government agencies and those with a national or regional responsibility for VET policy from 20 countries. Some participants represented a Member State’s Quality Assurance National Reference Point (NRP). The NRPs were established as part of the EQAVET Recommendation and have a central role in supporting the vocational education and training (VET) quality assurance arrangements in their system.

This policy note is based on the peer learning activity (PLA) held in Helsinki on 30 September and 1 October 2015. The PLA which is part of the EQAVET 2013-15 work programme brought together colleagues from European stakeholder organisations, government agencies and those with a national or regional responsibility for VET policy from 18 countries. Some participants represented a Member State’s Quality Assurance National Reference Point (NRP). Some of the participants represented a Member State’s Quality Assurance National Reference Point (NRP). The NRPs were established as part of the EQAVET Recommendation and have a central role in supporting the VET quality assurance arrangements in their system. It was hosted by the Greek National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Orientation (EOPPEP), Athens 11-12 May 2015.

This policy note is based on the peer learning activity on EQAVET indicator 9, which is part of the EQAVET 2013-15 work programme and which brought together colleagues from VET providers, government agencies and those with a national or regional responsibility for VET policy from 24 countries. Some of the participants represented a Member State’s Quality Assurance National Reference Point (NRP). The NRPs were established as part of the EQAVET Recommendation and have a central role in supporting the VET quality assurance arrangements in their system. It was hosted by ISFOL (Istituto per lo Sviluppo della Formazione Professionali dei Lavoratori), Rome 11-12 December 2014.

Policy brief EQAVET Symposium - learning from setoral approaches to QA of VET, Brussels 2014

This policy note is based on the reflection and discussion that took place at the EQAVET Symposium on learning from sectoral approaches to quality assurance of VET, which focused on work-based learning partnerships and the role of quality assurance. The Symposium was held in Brussels on 24-25 November, 2014; and was part of the EQAVET 2013-15 work programme which makes provision for activities which focus on the sectoral approach to QA in VET.

Policy brief on Quality assurance of education and training in the ICT sector, Berlin 2013

This policy note is based on the EQAVET sectoral seminar on the quality assurance of education and training in the ICT sector, which was hosted in Berlin by BITKOM, the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media, (October 14-15, 2013). The seminar brought together quality assurance experts from national and regional authorities, national agencies, national reference points, VET providers, practitioners, and industry representatives from 16 member countries.

This policy brief is based on the EQAVET peer learning activity (PLA) on the quality assurance procedure of self-assessment in vocational education and training which took place in Budapest, May 22-23, 2013.
