About this Organisation:
The Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia works to ensure access to life- long learning for all people in Estonia, which will enable them to achieve new standards of living. The Ministry of Education and Research integrates traditional educational values with contemporary development trends. More than half of the inhabitants of Estonia are involved in one way or other in the education system as pupils, students, teachers, tutors, lectors, researchers and parents. The system of education aims to provide education respecting the individual aptitudes and differences of every learner.

Ms Siilivask’s professional responsibilities include collecting and sharing information about analysis and studies to evolve VET field, preparing basis to acts and contracts; cooperating in writing action plans, programmes and strategies deriving from political strategies and being responsible for accomplishing goals that are set with these documents, preparing materials for working out and implementing several ESF programmes for VET. Her duties involve also participating in international cooperation, communicating with providers, social partners, target groups and exchange information about new initiatives in the field. As a member of ENQA-VET she was involved in ENQA-VET’s work programs for 2007-2008 and 2008-2009, member of the Thematic Group Making VET more attractive.
