Hungary - Accreditation of providers and programmes

In Hungary accreditation covers both institutions and training programmes. For an adult training provider to gain accreditation four areas are considered:

  • the institution’s policy on quality – this includes the organisational culture and how the organisation responds to the demands from students, employers and staff;
  • the quality management system – this includes identifying how the expectations of partner organisations are met, how continuous improvement is assured, and the availability of data and feedback on performance;
  • the objectives of the approach to quality – this includes a clear statement of what will be achieved during the year. This must include measurable outcomes which can be evaluated;
  • the institution’s self-assessment system – this includes the role of management, the role of partner organisations and the role of staff. It should also include a thorough analysis of training activities, the perception of students and a training plan to improve performance.
