Luxembourg - Developing the VET curriculum

In Luxembourg, the quality assurance arrangements for the VET curricula include coverage of content, assessment, certification and the award of qualifications and staff development

In Luxembourg initial VET is set in the context of lifelong learning and focuses on skills development and learning outcomes. Curriculum development teams are responsible for developing programmes which align the training in a company and the school based training. The teams include representatives from the labour market (training companies) and representatives from the educational environment (VET colleges). To ensure there is a quality management system in place to develop these programmes, Luxembourg uses a partnership approach between the State, the employer associations and the employee associations.
